I am a retired U.S. Army officer now working and living with my wife, children, and numerous animals about an hour north of Austin, Texas. Service in the army took me from the deserts of Southwest Asia to the mountains of Eastern Afghanistan, and many places in between. My training as a historian and love of fiction compels me to continually think of the "what ifs" in history. When I'm not writing, I enjoy hunting, making bows, and brewing mead.
